Who We Are

THE DARK MOON is the governing body of the Temple of the Sisterhood of Ahel Adom. It is made up of three High Priestesses, one of whom is a founding member of this eclectic Dianic women's group. The Priestesses listed are involved in the running of the Temple, teaching students and doing other community service.
EN-CHAHANPI MELISSAE
I am Spider Woman, Crystal Woman, Green Woman, Animal Woman.
I hum, dance and work as Honeybee.
I am the mortar and the pestle.
Wind blows through my hair and within my breath.
Fire burns within.
I flow as river.
I am Earth.
I stand the lone Warrior Priestess.
I am connected to and part of All.
I am Chahanpi Weaver.
I was raised Protestant Congregationalist and was still active in the church as my true spiritual unfolding began around 15 with the metaphysical study of crystals and gemstones. As I devoured all the information I could get my hands on I was exposed to many Nature based religions and ways of being that resonated deeply. As I learned I absorbed bits and pieces of many traditions such as Wicca, Druid, Celtic, Taoism and started to ritualistically align myself with Nature’s seasonal cycle. I finally met my partial Mashpee bloodline in Native American ways and the stepping stones to an Herbalist/Medicine path began to come into view.
I died a Shaman’s death at 23 due to a neurological virus, Guillain-Barre. While in my painful, medicated and mechanically supported cocoon I was able to vision-quest endlessly with the ability to experience multiple conscience planes simultaneously. After a full year of illness and physical rehabilitation I emerged with new found autonomy putting onto motion my mission of healing with love and light. I learned through living and adopted the way of active participation in wisdom - emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. As of then all of those people and circumstances that were not part of my “true self” began to fall away and fade as the path ahead grew concrete.
Since then I have used combination natural remedies, herbals, nutrition, exercise and spiritual guidance to treat myself, friends and family members. I work towards a B.S. in Alternative Medicine at Everglades University to put in motion my formal training and accentuate years of independent study. I plan on continuing herbal, homeopathic and nutritional studies as well as aid health with Reiki, crystals, diet, movement and whatever means required for holistic wellness of any who seek help.
"Father Sky, Mother Earth, The Elementals, Grandmother Moon, Great-Grandmother Ocean, Great Creator and all my relations in the universe have guided me towards today where I find myself a Reverend Priestess and Vice President of The Sisterhood of The Temple of Ahel Adom, Reiki Master as well as newly devout Melissae of Artemis. I’m immersed in sisterhood with amazing women who embody Goddesses as uniquely diverse as each individual yet we collectively embrace the attributes of women’s mysteries from Neolithic pantheons to modern feminism."

EN-IASIS CALLIOPE
I am a green tea drinking, bleeding-heart-liberal-thinking, Hippie from Boston. My path is normally very white, although it can be tinged with hazy shades of gray should I find a need to protect myself and those I love.
I have been a student of Paganism for 17 years and in that time I have connected most with the Healing Arts. I specifically devote to and am a priestess of Kuan Yin and have led talks about Her at local new age stores. I have worked with many Goddesses that are associated with healing, but the ones I work with the most are Hygieia, White and Green Tara, and of course Kuan Yin. I use multiple healing modalities and am always striving to learn more.
I am an initiated Priestess of The Sisterhood of the Temple of Ahel Adom, a Dianic eclectic women’s temple that focuses exclusively on Women’s Mysteries, though I sometimes feel like I am the Jimmy Cricket in the glorious darkness of my Sister Priestesses! I am 1st degree in the Order of International Co-Freemasonry Le Droit Humain, which helps me tap into some male energy which helps me to achieve the balance I desire. I am also a channel and work with the Masters.
Politically, my biggest concern right now in the world is the true separation of church and state. I confess to having a book addiction (anyone know a good support group let me know) and own an extensive occult library. I am married to my very own muggle who honors my freedom as a women and Priestess. I am a student of education at BCC and a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. I have been the regular Story Time Lady at Borders Books and Music for seven years. I hope this gives you a little peek into who I am... Namaste.

EN-DIANA ERISHKAGEL LA FEY
Everything Is Sacred. I have been a practicing pagan, shaman & witch for 16 years. Introduced to the Craft by the Lady Demeter and the Lord Angus of Under the Stars Metaphysical Store in June of 1994, I began my unofficial training - for Demeter knew before I did that I am a witch. Lady Demeter passed in July of 2001 but before she passed, she sent me to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Lauderdale and it’s Moonpath Chapter of the Covenant of UU Pagans.
At a Summer Solstice ritual in 2002 with another of Lady Demeter's Daughters-in-the-Goddess, I committed myself to service Her officially, in an unoffical moment at sunrise on that beach; and a year later confirmed my commitment in a public initiation ritual at Moonpath CUUPS by my mentors & elders – Spelcastor, Sophia Linus & Starwind Evensong. And so I follow the Path of the Goddess and the Third Road Faerie tradition with my Sisters & Brothers.
Currently the Temple's President, the School’s Head Mistress and a founding member of the Sisterhood, I am also the Seneschal for Moonpath Circle, Inc., a group that provides pagan services, rituals, events and study meetings to the community; and, recognizes pagan clergy through ordination and through work in the community with Muunpath CUUPS and other pagan organizations and groups. I am also a member of the UU Church of Fort Lauderdale.
My lifework includes tapping into Universal, Elemental and Celtic Faerie energies as well as working with the Gods & Goddesses of a number of pantheons including those from the Yoruban, Celtic, Roman/Greek, Egyptian, Hindu & Buddhist spiritual traditions. It is my belief that All things are connected and working with many traditions and ideas opens doors to understanding and healing. I seek not to usurp the knowledge and wisdom of the many traditions that inform my perspective but to expand my point of view.
Committed to serving and educating women and young people especially, as well as the larger community - both muggle and magical - I have BA & MA degrees in Sociology with certificates in Women's Studies from Florida Atlantic University. I am also currently learning Reiki and have acheived my first level of competancy.
The most important work I do is with Plant Spirit medicine. It is my gift to be able to bring my calling into my mundane life. Through my commitment to environmental action and education, by coordinating Earth Day! and other environmental events each year, through my nature photography, other artwork & crafts, as a Broward County Master Gardener, in my home gardens, and through my gardening business, I am blessed to be able to practice my craft every day.
Namaste! 3-12-2010
